You can perform witchcraft pretty much anywhere, but you may need to do a few things to prep for your spellcasting.
First, you’ll want to cleanse your space.
Next, you’ll want to charge the space with your specific intention. You can do this by saying aloud or in your head the intention of your magic.
If you have the time and space, you can set up an altar to charge the space. This can include whatever magical tools you’ve decided to use, any meaningful objects, and any written notes. You can arrange the objects on your altar in any way that feels aesthetically pleasing and meaningful for you. With elemental magic, you’ll probably want to put the elemental objects in the directions of north, east, south, and west, but everything else can go where you like.
If you’re setting up an altar, it’s helpful to have one point where you are sending energy into or sending it out from. A candle, a cauldron, a bowl of burning incense, a crystal or a personal object can all serve as your focal points. It’s not a hard and fast rule, but it may help you to focus energetically during your spellcasting.
